Why Get a Massage

Ok, so you know the obvious benefits of massage.
Pain relief.
Stress relief.
Reduces anxiety.
It just feels great.
Ease headaches and migraines.

But, what about the long term benefits? A regular massage once a month or, bi-weekly, can be truly beneficial to your body and mentality. Depending on your pain level, you might need to start with once or twice a week, then gradually lessen the visits, to maintain your health.

Lower your blood pressure, increase circulation, improve your sleep, reduce those back aches (or shoulder aches) just to name a few things that most of us suffer from. Massage also gives your immune system a boost (it stimulates lymph flow- the body’s natural defense system) and improves flexibility, helping to prevent injuries. It also releases endorphins, the body’s natural painkiller.

Before a session begins, please let me know if any of the following pertains to you:

  • If you’ve had any eye surgeries within the last week (i.e. lasik)
  • Implants (of any kind) within the last 9 months
  • Botox within the last 24 hours or any other “filler” within the last 5 days
  • If you’re pregnant

This does not mean you cannot receive a massage. It just means I will have to change some technique to make it work for you.
